We began our career in the world of technology at an early age, with our own projects focused first on the tourism sector and then on the medical sector. Unfortunately, none of these projects were as successful as we had hoped. Despite the fact that we had a lot of ideas, energy and youth, we realized that we lacked the valuable experience necessary to achieve our goals.
This was our first big lesson: despite our entrepreneurial spirit, youth and creativity, we realized that there was still a lot to learn.
Fortunately, at a time when we were feeling confused, we were lucky enough to connect with someone who had been involved in software development for many years, and had a deep understanding of the industry, tools, and solutions. Through this person, we gained a great deal of knowledge and also discovered the mistakes we had made in our initial projects. This is an aspect that we now frequently see in our clients: the tendency to look for overly elaborate software solutions, believing that they need more than they actually do or that they need to tackle all of it at once.
This was our second lesson: we learned that the really successful projects are not those that are pretentious, but those that are built in a scalable way, growing gradually.
Over time, we gained experience and in 2014 we consolidated as a solid work team and formalized the company. However, the day came when our mentor had to retire unexpectedly. This situation taught us the third fundamental lesson, and from then on, we truly became a company. Although this person was not a freelancer, this event helped us understand what sometimes happens in business: they delegate trust to individuals instead of formal, established companies. Too many independent professionals (Freelancers) or informal companies abandon projects from one day to the next, without considering further consequences. When they get overloaded with work, get a better offer, or something unexpected comes up on the project, they just walk away. Others fail in management or lack experience in dealing with the client, becoming unresponsive or even failing to deliver what they have developed up to that point. Our company, on the other hand, had already consolidated its work team and we continue to provide quality services and fulfill our commitments with clients, providing timely and efficient responses.
This is our third lesson: it is not only essential to have innovative ideas and experience, and offer customized solutions for each client, but it is also crucial to have a team and a structure that can respond appropriately, thus becoming a true solution for our clients.
